recording "to the max"

in the dance show as i missed the practice the week before due to going to my r.a.f test witch i faild by one mark in the maths but oh well 6 months and ill give it another go . i had to do the recording witch was not easy with a camara that had the smallest lens but i made do and the show went well needles to say standing up for an hour and a half did make me feel like i had been jumped on by like 12 6 yrolds but all in the name of education and that sam said she would kill me if i didnt support the class . " 11 hours doing not much longest day at colage wanted to kill my self ! "

to day we worked on our practice and warm up exsersizes this gave us a opotunity to prepare oursels but it did go on a bit and to be honest i spent moast of the time playing the chines song on the piano but i did do somthing productive like practicing scales arpegios and tone posture .
next me and matey mat looked at songs i have no idea but mat does "GRATE" !

1	Grandma’s Introduction	We need to build the 'six senses' in this scene as it introduces the audience to both the play and life for the characters Gerda and Kai before the Snow Queen. **The audience have to care about them getting this life and their friendship back or there is little point to the story** Better description of the environment. An activity for Kai and Gerda before the story that can show how close they are. Introductory music
2	Snow Queen Kidnaps Kai	We need to establish a distinct change in atmosphere via lighting and sound for the Snow Queens entrance. The dialogue needs additional detail particularly the benefits of living in the snow palace. **There has to be a plausible benefit for Kai to go with the SQ as he is fascinated by her before she puts ice in his heart** Snow Queen Music or snow sound effects Additional tempting description of Snow Queen Lifestyle in dialogue Design/Make sleigh  (Jackie in Art is willing to help)
3	Magic Flower Garden	A playful introduction would improve this scene. Perhaps Gerda could wonder at least for a little while if she should just make new friends whilst being enchanted by the flowers. **The scene will work best if we feel a bit sorry for the flower witch and the flower girls and if it contrasts more with the other scenes** Demonstrate the girls having fun together before we see the witch Gerda to use '6 senses' to ensure we understand more about the magical garden Find way of making flowers stand!
4	Snow Queen collects Flower Children	We need this scene to have more clarity. The best way to do this would be to strongly establish an ongoing relationship between the SQ and the Flower Witch. **This scene is the second time we see the SQ and once again she is abducting children. We have to make her heartless but not too scary!** Reveal Snow Queens bigger plans and the control she has over her magical kingdom Make some reference to life before the Snow Queen's reign Ensure the sleigh can work with two passengers
5	Palace and the Princess’s Party	a lil less indian no ofense but a palice like that would not be around i the middle of the woods haha so more like tradishinal pallace   this sceen is comical so the set need to be funy to icopororate it into the first impreshon of the king crow queen and princes this will alow the kiddys to relate and enjoy it
6	Snow Queen Pots & Pans	looks inconspicuous and divious like this one cold and chiled good idea for the snow queen this sceen is to let the audence get to know how evil the snow queen reely is . in this sceen the snow queen needs to be quiet and agitated to give the emotion of anger and betrale
7	Robbers in the Woods	no don't get it why is he threterning gerda with a knife looks like he is stabing her basta$ and the raindear is locked up in our play but i doo like gerdas outfit in this sceen the robers need to seem half minded  but mischevious they need to come acros as sceeming . the rober girl needs to be difernt to the rest kind harted and the smartest out of the whole lot
8	Journey to Lapland	i like the crows head good idea for me to desghin  the mask
9	Minion Reports	a bit inconspicious  and a lill provocitive but good to show the dominacne of the snow queen
10	Finn Man’s Wisdom & the Gossips	top man fin man i like this he looks like a ruff old man this will give of the impreshon that i am old and wise through what i have seen on my travels
11	Ice Palace Rescue & Release	i dont get it ?
12	Back to Grandma	brilliant let beth ride mat !                                                                                                                                                                                   no joking aside this shows the conection made between gerda and the raindear this is "cute" and little kidddys like "cute"

  

stage desghin "to the max"

urh mood boards now they are boring right? but wait add some gliter and coulerd tisho paper and your on your way right so i was ment to be doing lighting and sound but that board me so i went to stage desghn and costume . I made a tree whitch i exspaned in my last stage desghn poast but have no fear i did do somthing els i made a CAGE ! no not to put the teacher in ;) .  After i painted this mask black to be the crows face not reolising that it was Rachels and she was PISSED but oh well she loves me well i hope or im dead! i did this to look mistryous . my costume as im the crow im wearing a cloak \ coat thing and it ways a ton and i was sweting like a vegitarian at a slaghter house but all in the name of art :)

dance "to the max"

we did a lill dance from Chicago fosy jazz and yes it was all that jazz so we were prancing around rather provocatively ;) we learnt it of the world famous you tube yes so cliche but it works so we looked at the pretentcious tv show "strictly "the stand in "all that jazz "! propa hot !

stage desighn "to the max"

we made a tree . yes made a tree out of a 8 foot card board tubes add thin paper can be used as toilet paper for elephants . but not of on a tangent the reason for us using that was its cheep and strong enouf to take the exses branches made from bambo. with the bambo you need to snap them but not so u have two half's so it looks like leaning branches rather than a spikey not tree like thing  . right bulking it up so it doesnt look like a poo with twigs stuck to it. you need shit loads of newspaper like shit loads then  ruff it up and rap it round so it is bulked up this takes a looooong time but its worth it also this means u can paint it . now u may have notced that it hasent stuck at all so use some marsking tape not narmal tape use ur head u cant paint over plastick u numb nut but u can masking tape ;) now once the whole tree has been coverd you can aply paint and leaves

im not going to boor you with technical speak much purely because i don't know it 

we started by doing the standard warm up from my previous singing post and then we started .

now we prepped by going up in semi tones  "v e a r oo" now it sounds silly but it is a brilliant technique to find your range further more we approached the "lips , teeth , tip of the tong" going down  now a tong twister very good at improving your diction other word patterns such at red lory yellow lory now hard to say fast but sing it and pronouncing it correctly and your on your way to be an amazing singer well its a start ... 

so we have started on range and diction now all that is left for todays post is harmonies grab a couple of friends preferably all different kinds of people like for example old motor biker for the low notes and a young girl for high and work it where ever you fit in nooo im joking every one has slightly different range so just a few friends will do so between you need 3 or more preferably 6 so there is two people on each part low , middle and high now each sing your parts 1 pitch at a time ( if your low sing first stop then middle then high ) after you have your pitches and you have remembered the pattern sing all to gather and for gods sake please in time or your setting your self up to fall  so try again !!! 

rhythmic patterns boom chicka boom try it with one leader and you biker and little girl and you will learn rhythm just like that easy peeasy. 

now you may find you cant hold your breath for long so if you sway towards the diophramitc breathing ull find it helps but u might faint so do it sitting or lying down first till your comfortable so you don't hit your head because you may be laughed at so practice for 5 minuets every night in bed before you fall sleep i and if u faint your asleep any way !!

we looked at frantic assemberly and tested it on our selvs just between two then put it into our prufomacence ( lap laddy sceen) this prooved to be affective and direct even braught a bit of humor

4th of october - 11 0f october sining

our first singing lesson we found our original range and learnt many breathing and relaxing exercises but the main focus was on stretching our vocal cords to hit higher rangers
. shake hands for 6 counts then stand like a proud business man
. roll head round slowly (up - right - down - left ) 2 counts on each after initial round
. rase 1 leg at a time to achieve the right leg stance don't try both because you will land on your arse ;)
right now you have perfect stance and have stretched your vocal cords  start by sining semi tones and se how high and low you can reach this is your range. now you need to find out your flexibility start buy doing arpeggios form you lowest note in your range as this will be the easiest and then you can strategically work you way up till your highest note if you can hit every note by humming or "aaa" ing you have good flexibility now to expand this you need to try to push your voice try and do a arpeggio where the highest semi tone in your range is in the middle of the arpeggio see if you can hit the note if you can already then your on your way and keep on moving higher and higher till your voice wont let you and it drops dramatically .

now to achieve better breaths and being able to hold notes for longer you need to use your diaphragm  
to use it correctly you should feel and see your
stomach stretch out and how it works is by drawing your lungs down
now it is advised that you should the first time lay on your bed on your back as it can
make you feel faint so save yourself from hitting
your head

"to be a lighting designer you need to be technical and creative" this is not a every day thing but to achieve this "Neil Austin" started as a lighting board conductor then advanced up to  electrician in  theatre and worked his way up through that side of the chain and the director discovered that he was talented and passionate about lighting and sore art form within the lights . now he is a successful lighting designer.

we started by conferring about the play the snow queen  on things such as , set design , make up , characters , lighting and sound , costume . me personally specified on set design due to me not knowing much about make up and costume due to me being a "bloke" but i will learn . i started by thinking about the set of the flower garden these are some idears i have have found from a good friend "google "

- Sharing influential features of life e.g memorable past tense encounters and experiences .
We did this to build team aspects and invest in the group this lets us interact with each other and brake the barriers .

-Using 6 senses in story telling , paints a clever picture such as touch, mood ,smell , sight ,sound and taste
To allow us to talk descriptively to each other this allows us to paint a picture.

-Self analysis of voice and movement, so we can build on characters by changing features and habits

This allows us to notice what we are like and who we are through first impreshons so we can change them . never divert to our original statas to be better in charicter . being able to relate to the audience will allow your audience to conect to your character .

-Main features of children's theater ± typical narrative used for children's theater over the top acting ;) e.g well over exaggeration
we do this to get the childrens brains going and it also allows them quickly to like the good character and hate the baddy this get them inolved and enjoy it better .  

-Creating characters such as

.Bobalyna  by me :D high pitched , fast. well out of character 

.Sally played by Lindsey  a massive change in character and enthusiasm 

. Various other like the knight strong and coragous lion sly and devious a.s.a.s.f

-VOICE+ MOVEMENT = CHARACTERISATION
