* club opened 1967
* instant hit to custiomers, actors and artists

* batley variety club turned into frontier in early 1980s - became 'destination night spot'
* venue not just nightclub, conference venue, burlesque

* had parking facilities for 700 cars
* wide range of bars and spacious accommodation
